Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA)
A Charitable Gift Annuity allows you to support Villa Siena while securing a guaranteed income stream for yourself or a loved one. In exchange for a gift of $25,000 or more, Villa Siena—through our partnership with Silicon Valley Community Foundation—will pay you a fixed amount every year for the rest of your life. Many donors appreciate the financial stability this offers, along with the added benefit of a partial tax deduction in the year the gift is made. It’s a beautiful blend of philanthropy and peace of mind.
Life Insurance Gifts
Another impactful method of giving is to name Villa Siena as a beneficiary—or even transfer ownership—of a life insurance policy. This allows you to turn an often-overlooked asset into a meaningful contribution. Depending on how your gift is structured, premiums paid may even be tax-deductible. If you’re interested in this option, we encourage you to speak with your insurance provider or contact our Foundation Office for guidance on how to begin.
Bequest in Your Will or Trust
A simple clause in your estate plan can have a lasting effect on our community. This option allows you to retain full control over your assets throughout your life while making a lasting commitment to the care of our residents. Here is some sample wording for a bequest to Villa Siena Foundation: “I give and bequeath ____________ (dollar amount, percentage of my residuary estate, etc.) to the Villa Siena Foundation (Federal Tax I.D. #94-3344872), and its successors and assignees, located at 1855 Miramonte Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94040”
Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT)
With a minimum gift of $250,000, you place assets in a trust that pays you (or another beneficiary) a set income each year—either for life or for a defined number of years. At the end of the term, the remainder of the trust goes to the Villa Siena Foundation. CRTs are a flexible and tax-savvy way to support our mission, with potential advantages including a reduction in capital gains tax and significant income and estate tax deductions. Donate A Vehicle
Have a car you no longer need? Let it do one more good deed. Villa Siena partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to make donating your vehicle easy, impactful, and tax-deductible. Whether it’s a car, truck, RV, or boat—running or not—CARS handles the pick-up and paperwork at no cost to you. Direct Giving
You can help keep this wonderful tradition of caring alive at Villa Siena. Every year, a percentage of residents find their financial assets are becoming exhausted. The worry of financial pressures should not be part of the day for our elderly residents. Your contribution will help ease that burden. Online giving is quick, easy, and secure.
